As a on-time theater major, I thought I kndw quite a bit about the Globe Theatar. I've also read Hamnet and have seen the movie. But surprise! Our terrific guide at the New Globe Theater kept me engaged and learning new things about life at the original Globe throughout the entire tour. As an actress, she was a talented and experienced story-teller. And as an expert on Shakespeare and the Globe, she never missed a beat. Our group threw many off-the-wall questions at her but she knew the answer to every one of them. Additionally, the structure of the tour was just right for our group, which consisted primarily of older people including retirees. The duration of the tour and the amount of time we spent in the theater seated and listening was well thought-out. Thank you to everyone at the Globe!

It was a unique journey that took us back to the time of the "penny stinkers" and gave us such interesting and delightful insights about the time of the Globe golden era! Out guide Vivianne was herself a delight and really embodied the love for theater and Shakespeare!

The guide was absolutely brilliant, very informative and entertaining. You can tell how much he loves his job, and it was absolutely wonderful getting to learn about William Shakespeare and this beautiful theatre from someone who is so passionate about it.

The guide was very knowledgeable and being an actor made the tour very enjoyable. The extra information about London, theatre in Shakespeare's day and why they use modern costumes sometimes helped to make sense of the show we went to in the afternoon.

Inspirational. Tour guide was excellent. Knowledgeable humerus and brought Shakespeare into the 21st century. Following our visit we booked to see Pinocchio scheduled for Christmas 2026.
