HIPPO Trip tour was geweldig in Lissabon. Een echte aanrader en makkelijk zelf te regelen via de site van Headout. Het moment van land naar water was spectaculaire, wat een belevenis. Zeker als je een super actieve toergids hebt. Geweldig gewoon.

Esperienza indimenticabile, la combinazione perfetta tra divertimento e cultura! Fare il tour di Lisbona a bordo di questo bus anfibio è stata un'esperienza semplicemente fantastica! Passare dalla guida su strada al tuffo direttamente nel fiume Tago è un momento elettrizzante che da solo vale tutto il biglietto. Un plauso speciale va alla ragazza che ci ha fatto da guida e animatrice: straordinaria! Simpaticissima, travolgente e incredibilmente preparata. Durante tutto il percorso ha saputo coinvolgerci raccontando curiosità e aneddoti su Lisbona davvero interessanti e mai banali, il tutto con un sorriso e un'energia contagiosi. Se visitate Lisbona non potete assolutamente perdervelo: è il modo più originale, divertente e completo per scoprire la città. Consigliatissimo!

It was super entertaining, the comments from the guide were perfectly timed and light enough for the children not to get bored. The constant swapping from Portuguese to English gave you time to both listen and enjoy the views. If you don't know Lisbon it's a very good first approach, you can then explore the city afterwards and it will feel a bit more familiar. The views from the river are amazing. The guide and driver were super fun and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Great tour of the city, the tour guide Tomas was very funny and did a great job with both English and Portuguese versions of the tour. The rustic roads of Lisbon definitely make for a bumpy ride, so hang on tight!

I loved the journey by land and sea, but above all, the duo of Flávio and Fáfa... Their sense of humor and infectious joy were fantastic. Fáfa has an incredible gift for communication.

Hippotrip amphibious sightseeing tour

Board a unique amphibious vehicle at Doca de Santo Amaro and roll through Lisbon's iconic squares and avenues before making a spectacular splash into the Tagus River at Belém! With enjoyable live commentary in English and Portuguese, this thrilling 90-minute loop delivers street-level city views and stunning river perspectives of Belém Tower, the Discoveries Monument, the 25 de Abril Bridge, and Cristo Rei.

Weekends & summers: Additional tours at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm/7pm from Hippotrip, Doca de Santo Amaro

Children under 2 are not allowed on the tour for safety reasons.

The vehicle is not suitable for people with reduced mobility; boarding involves climbing several steps without a lift.

Additional information

Arrive at Doca de Santo Amaro at least 15 to 20 minutes before your chosen departure, so boarding can start on time.

The tour lasts about 90 minutes and does not include stops; you remain on board for the full circuit.

Children 2 to 16 years must be accompanied by an adult throughout the experience.

Commentary is live in Portuguese and English; the guide alternates languages rather than using recorded audio headsets.

Tours operate most days of the year, but may be adjusted or canceled if river or weather conditions affect amphibious operations.
