Our family loves marine life, and Cairns Aquarium is easily one of the best aquariums we've ever visited. We really enjoyed the shark talk, interactive touch tank and the huge variety of amazing sea life. The displays were well documented and made the whole experience even more interesting. It was very busy when we arrived, so I'd definitely recommend booking online and getting there as early as possible to enjoy the full day. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to return to Cairns for the twilight tour!

The aquarium experience was great, many beautiful displays and interesting information about all the fish. Entry was a bit rough, despite skipping a majority of the queue with online tickets we still had to wait just as long as the people at the back when we arrived

Loved the aquarium itself, especially the talks which were very informative. However, the system for ticketing was subpar. When you buy your ticket on-line, it is on the assumption you don't have to get in queue, and can directly access a venue. Having to wait in line after purchasing on-line is ridiculous. Other venues are able to circumnavigate the need to line up for a paper ticket with the purchase of an on-line ticket. The aquarium needs to update its ticketing system.

Really appreciated Peter, our pick up person's good manners & obliging service. He gave very clear instructions so everyone knew what to expect. The train & skyrail trips were lots of fun and we met some really great people. Wonderful scenery & enjoyed looking around Kuranda. The tearooms at the railway station do great toasted sandwiches & drinks.

Highly recommend travelling 1st class (Gold) where we were treated with delicious food & service. We were seated in very comfortable chairs where the crew brought our refreshments to our viewing window.

We booked 2 adults and 2 Concessions for my (senior) Mother and child with Autism. When we got to the cashier, she told us that we should have only booked one adult through the Headout app and were entitled to a Companion free ticket and to request a refund. I did this but Headout told us they couldn't refund 1 adult ticket due to the Aquarium's strict policies. I then contacted the Cairns Aquarium and they blamed Headout's strict policies. We won't let this disappointing issue take away from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

The Skyrail departs from Smithfield (Cairns) Terminal, whereas the Scenic Rail departs from Freshwater Railway Station.

Children below 14 must be accompanied by an adult on the Skyrail and Scenic Rail.
