Meet your expert local Omani guide at the Wadi Shab parking area, located just before the tunnel on the Muscat–Sur highway. This experience is designed for self-drivers or travelers arriving by taxi, with no hotel pickup from Muscat included. After a brief introduction, you will walk to the riverbank and get ready for the short traditional boat transfer across the water.

Wadi Shab is a scenic canyon where rocky paths, date palms, and clear pools lead you into a narrow valley ending in natural swimming spots and a hidden cave. You will explore it on foot and in the water with your guide, from the initial river crossing to the main pools and back.

• Your guided hike through Wadi Shab Canyon starts with a short traditional boat transfer across the river, then continues along a trail that passes date palms, rocky paths, and crystal-clear pools framed by cliffs. After about 45–60 minutes of hiking, you reach the main turquoise pools, where you can swim and continue toward the hidden cave.
• A professional local Omani guide stays with you throughout, sharing local insights about the area, nature, and culture as you move deeper into the canyon and pointing out features along the route.
• During the swimming and cave exploration section, your guide provides assistance as you navigate the pools and enter the hidden cave with its small waterfall inside, helping you feel supported in the water-based parts of the experience.

Wrapping up
