Delve into the history and culture of Valencia’s city center, the Old Town. Start at the Norte Station, from where you, your tour guide, and your tour group will head over to the Town Hall Square and soak up sights of the Town Hall and the Post buildings. Walk over to the Marquis of Dos Aguas Palace next, a landmark of remarkable Baroque art style. You’ll then visit the Silk Market (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Central Market, where various forms of Gothic architecture will stand out of the crowd.

The narrow, old but still charming streets of the city center are worth remembering. Visit three main squares after this, including the Round Square, the Queen Square, and the Virgin Square. Enjoy views of the Turia River before heading to the main shopping area, Colón street. Peppered with restaurants, department stores, shops, and food joints of traditional Valencian cuisine, this street gives you plenty of options and opportunities to mingle with the local culture.
