Trek the Routeburn track from the mountain divides to Key Summit with a local guide at Fiordland National Park, New Zealand. Experience nature with all your senses at this World Heritage Site, with pick-up and drop-off at Te Anau.

Take a comfortable hike up the Routeburn trail at Fiordland National Park with a local guide.

You will be picked up at Te Anau and travel with a small group to the Fiordland mountain divide at the National Park.

Walk by Gertrude Valley, Lake Gunn, and Hollyford Valley on your ascent to Key Summit.

An 8-kilometer hike set at a leisurely pace allows you to fully absorb the mighty alpine landscape.

Have lunch atop the summit; pack your own meal but leave some room for the snacks and refreshments brought by your guide.

Maybe venture further down Greenstone Valley, before walking back to the Divide Shelter and getting dropped off at Te Anau.

Off the Beaten Path

Meet your tour guide at Te Anau, and travel in a small group to Fiordland's mountain divide by vehicle. The trail and your walk begins at the Divide Shelter in the National Park. Ascend at a leisurely pace. At some point, you will emerge from the forest into the alpine environment, with panoramic views of high snowy peaks, alpine lakes, and deep, shrub-clad, glacial valleys.

Picnic at the Summit

When you reach the summit, survey the topography of the Fiordline before settling down for lunch. The weather will decide if the meal is open air or within a camping shelter. If time allows, you can then hike further down the Greenstone Valley before returning back to the Divide Shelter.

3:30pm | Return to Divide Shelter

4:30pm | Drop-off at Te Anau
