Getting started

From Castles to the Ghetto | One seamless ride
Your journey kicks off in Kraków’s Old Town, where cobbled streets and Gothic spires speak of the city’s royal legacy. Pass the soaring towers of St. Mary’s Basilica and the historic Cloth Hall in the Main Square, and catch a glimpse of the Jagiellonian University, one of the oldest in the world and once home to Copernicus. At Wawel Hill, the fairytale-like castle stands as a symbol of Poland’s monarchy, steeped in legends of dragons and kings.
As you cruise into Kazimierz, the former Jewish Quarter, you'll notice a stark shift in atmosphere. This area, once its own city, now weaves together centuries of Jewish and Christian history. Synagogues stand beside churches, telling stories of a once-thriving multicultural community. From there, the route moves through the former Kraków Ghetto. Here, fragments of the original ghetto wall still remain, a solemn marker of a time when thousands of Jews were forcibly confined during Nazi occupation.
The journey past Ghetto Heroes Square brings a powerful close to the tour, connecting you to stories of survival and remembrance that shaped Krakow’s modern identity. The 1.5-hour experience concludes near Schindler’s Factory. If you’d prefer to end your tour there rather than return to the starting point, simply let your driver know.
