Begin with a scenic boat ride from the Archeological Zone, passing ancient Mayan ruins along the coastline as you head toward the snorkeling sites. At the first snorkeling spot, don your gear and enter crystal-clear waters filled with marine life, including sea turtles, stingrays, tropical fish, and coral formations. Continue to another snorkeling spot for a different perspective of the reef's diverse ecosystems before returning to shore. The experience includes an experienced guide and a safe, enjoyable journey into the underwater beauty of Tulum Reef. The cost of the experience does not include access to Parque del Jaguar, which has new attractions such as walking trails, bird spotting, viewing points, bathrooms, and unlimited use of electric buses. Access costs for Parque del Jaguar are listed in the excluded section.

What to bring

Bring reef-safe biodegradable sunscreen to protect the marine environment during your snorkeling experience.

Wear comfortable swimwear and consider bringing a UV-protection rash guard or water shirt for added sun protection.

Bring a quick-dry towel, a sun hat, and polarized sunglasses for comfort before and after your time in the water.

Carry a waterproof camera or GoPro if you wish to capture underwater moments.

Bring a dry bag to keep your belongings safe and dry during the boat ride.

Bring extra cash for national park entrance fees, federal taxes for access to Parque del Jaguar, parking fees, and gratuities, as these are not included in your ticket.
