Was disappoibted to not see a single mummie in the exhibition. We have visited the Tahrir exhibition previously. On the positive side this museum is indeed " grand", spacey, modern and very informative. The 4 streams principle works well provided that all galleries are fully open. With Toetsnchamon's mummie ( and others) brought in in November, it would be an accomplished museum.

Incredible, all these items of history – especially to see the mask of Tutankhamun will forever remain in my memory. Every detail, from the expert guide to the smooth logistics, helped bring ancient Egypt to life. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who appreciates culture, history, and unforgettable moments.

The best thing about this tour was the tour guide; and the handicap or accessiblity services (wheelchair), etc. It's hard to navigate in a wheelchair when in a group setting, but we did our best. I have some tips that I will be writring the museum directly. But you did a great job. And of course the GEM - Grand Egyptian Museum is spectacular and a must see in Cario.

The visual impact of the building of the Egyptian Museum is in itself a first contact. Upon entering, Ramses II, Pharaoh and master of his culture, awaits you. Seeing sedate statues of pharaohs, who will not rise to welcome you, but patiently await the visitor's greeting and appreciate the millennial Egypt. Then, you will appreciate different stages of the millenary and cultural development of this great people; to close with a flourish the exhibition of Tutankhamun, the Child Pharaoh, whose goods covered with gold do not aim to wealth, but to eternity. No one could wear gold sandals and walk in them, or sleep in a bed lined with gold, these are goods that Tutankhamun will use in eternity. The movement from below - earth, mortality - to above - heaven, immortality - is characteristic of cultures that sought God by their own means.
