About Europa-Park

Europa-Park ranks as Europe's second-busiest theme park with 6 million annual visitors drawn to its variety. Twenty meticulously themed zones span European countries and fantasy worlds across 95 hectares. Adrenaline seekers target Silver Star (73-meter drops at 127 km/h) and Blue Fire (0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds), while families enjoy Pirates in Batavia boat rides and Voletarium flying theater. Each zone delivers authentic regional experiences: flamenco shows in Spain, Greek tavernas in Mykonos-styled buildings, German cuisine in a 15th-century castle.

Did you know?

Europa-Park is the largest theme park in Germany, covering 95 hectares of land.

From 2014 through 2021, Europa-Park claimed the Golden Ticket Award for "Best Amusement Park in the World" eight consecutive years, defeating every competitor on the planet including Disney and Universal properties.

In 2015, Europa-Park shattered the boundary between physical and digital realms when Alpenexpress Coastiality became the world's first roller coaster with integrated virtual reality.

The Mack family has owned Europa-Park since opening day in 1975. They also run Mack Rides, the company that engineers many of the park's coasters.

FoodLoop restaurant in the Luxembourg zone operates the world's first spiral roller coaster delivery system. Your order launches from the kitchen, spiraling down 400 meters of looping track at speeds up to 30 km/h before landing precisely at your table.

Why visit Europa-Park?

Journey through 20 European worlds in a single day

Walk from a German village square into the sun-bleached facades of a Greek island, then onward to Seville's vibrant plazas, all within minutes. Europa-Park's 20 themed zones recreate European countries with architectural precision: timber-framed buildings in Germany, canal-side windmills in Holland, alpine chalets in Switzerland. Each area delivers authentic cultural immersion through regional cuisine, live performances, and design details that transport you across borders without a passport.

World-class roller coasters

Europa-Park houses some of Europe's most engineered coaster experiences. Silver Star launches you 73 meters skyward before plummeting at 127 km/h with Black Forest panoramas stretching below. Blue Fire accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, twisting through four inversions that blur sky and earth. The wooden Wodan Timburcoaster delivers rattling 100 km/h runs where the structure creaks beneath you. From launched megacoasters to VR-enhanced alpine rides, the park's nearly 100 attractions span every thrill threshold, family-friendly dark rides to pulse-racing drops.

Spectacular live shows

Europa-Park reinvents itself throughout the year with seasonal transformations. June brings Midsommar celebrations with Swedish solstice traditions and folk performances. September and October deliver Oktoberfest with Bavarian beer halls, traditional music, and hearty fare. Halloween cloaks zones in atmospheric décor with themed shows. Winter months unveil Christmas markets across multiple zones: wooden chalets selling handcrafted gifts, mulled wine stations, and illuminated displays. Beyond seasonal events, daily entertainment includes flamenco dancers in Spain, musical theater at the Globe Theatre replica, 4D cinema experiences, and choreographed fountain shows that pulse with music and light.

Family-friendly attractions

Theming at Europa-Park builds complete sensory environments. In Austria, alpine peaks rise around you as cowbells echo. Spain's zone pulses with flamenco rhythms through Seville-inspired streets. The Pirates in Batavia ride submerges you in 6 minutes of cinematic animatronics through Dutch East Indies jungles. Voletarium flying theater suspends you above European landmarks with wind, scent, and motion, creating a genuine flight sensation. Even restaurants inhabit the narrative: dine inside a 15th-century castle or watch meals arrive via roller coaster track.

Unique dining experiences

Sixty restaurants and food stands transform dining into continental exploration. Sample German pork knuckle in Balthasar Castle's medieval stone halls, order Spanish tapas with jamón ibérico in Hotel El Andaluz, or choose Greek moussaka served taverna-style overlooking Poseidon's splashdowns. FoodLoop in Luxembourg delivers your meal via miniature roller coaster track, engineering meets gastronomy. Each zone's eateries reflect genuine regional traditions: French crêperies, Italian wood-fired pizzerias, Scandinavian fish houses, Swiss raclette parlors.

It was a splendid experience, all the areas had something wonderful for everyone and I enjoyed a lot of the activities including the rides. Of all the rides, I enjoyed the slowed paced Luxembourg mono rail, the EP express was great in moving people around. How can I ever forget the Pegasus and Poseidon ride. At the end, I can say my Monaco F1 experience and Voltron ride was the craziest I experienced. I am definitely going back to experience more.

It was amazing. The kids had a blast, and so did we. The water was really nice—the outdoor pool in particular was fantastic for swimming. We swam for about 11 hours, haha—I think that says it all.

Parking was fairly easy and not too far of a distance from the park. If you have kids that are big enough for the roller coasters those were fun and there was a nice choice of different food vendors as well as places to sit and just have a coffee.
