Your experience begins with a pickup from your hotel in Koh Samui, followed by a drive to Samui Elephant Home Nursery. After arriving and checking in, meet your English-speaking guide, who introduces you to the program and explains the safety guidelines. Full insurance coverage is provided throughout the program, from the time your experience begins until you leave the nursery.

What to expect

• Set in a natural jungle environment, Samui Elephant Home Nursery offers a focused one-hour visit centred on ethical elephant interaction and care. Learn about the elephants’ backgrounds, daily routines, nutrition, and the role of responsible tourism in supporting their wellbeing and long-term care.

• Take part in preparing supplementary food with ingredients such as bananas, pumpkins, sticky rice, and herbs. The team explains how different food mixes can support elephants of different ages and health needs before you feed the prepared portions under close supervision.

• The feeding remains controlled, safe, and elephant-led, allowing the animals to interact at their own comfort level. You can also take photos as the elephants eat and interact naturally, without staged poses or forced behaviour.

• After the program, your experience concludes with a return transfer to your hotel in Koh Samui.
