Aber im Frühling 2026 fühlt sich doch jeder Witz, der Frauen zur "Nervesäge" per see erklärt, mehr als befremdlich an. Da könnte der nette Kapitän noch mal ein bisschen dran arbeiten. - Und alle zwei Tage eine Erinnerung an die Bewertung zu erhalten war auch reichlich nervig.

The captain really made the tour unforgettable with his lively storytelling! We loved it! Unfortunately, no one checked our reservation, so instead of the XXL tour, we ended up on the 1-hour harbor cruise for two hours. It was nice, but we ended up paying too much!

Handling more than eight million containers in a year, and lined with a fleet of romantic tour barges, Hamburg harbour is the largest seaport in all of Germany! For centuries, this port has been the driving force behind Hamburg’s rising economy. While the port presents itself as a striking image of urbanization and development, it also, much like Venice, has a labyrinth of canals, inducing a feeling of medieval times. Hamburg owes much of its worldly character to the mighty Elbe, the river on which the port is situated.

The extended 2-hour tour of the port of Hamburg is nothing short of an adventure. With informative and interesting facts imparted by an experienced captain on board the cruise, you will leave with a better and deeper understanding of the affairs that take place within the harbour shores. By the time you’re done with the cruise, you’ll be thorough with container terminals, having a better understanding of terms like dry dock, TEU, RoRo, and more. A detour to the historic Speicherstadt will take you through narrow crisscrossing canals and numerous bridges offering picturesque views of Neo-Gothic brick buildings.
