Getting started

You make your own way to the designated meeting point on the edge of Wadi Rum. After check-in, a 4WD transport from the meeting point to the desert takes you into the sand, where you meet your camel handler and guide and get a brief introduction before mounting up.

What to expect

The experience centers on a guided camel ride through the open desert, with the duration depending on the option you chose: a 30-minute, 1-hour, 2-hour normal, 2-hour sunset, or 3-hour camel ride experience. Your guide leads the route at a relaxed pace so you can look around, take photos, and feel the gradual sway of the camel across the sand.

Features

Your driver and guide use the 4WD transport from meeting point to the desert to bring you to and from the camel area, so you focus on the ride itself instead of logistics.

During the ride, you follow your guide across the sand, with time to capture images from your camel and notice the rock formations and wide-open desert around you.

Bottled water is provided so you can stay hydrated in the dry desert conditions while you ride.

After the camel ride, you sit with your guide for Bedouin tea, which is included, before you are taken back by 4WD to the meeting point.
