The family-owned stalls and shops have stood the test of time for centuries, making for quite a culturally-enriching experience! Sample local dishes like tsukemono (vegetables preserved in vinegar), Yuuba (the world’s smoothest sashimi tofu), Kamaboko (seafood preserved in fish paste), Tako (Octopus with quail egg) and Macha Warabi Mochi (a special traditional sweet covered in ground tea leaves).
