A wonderful day, a well-organized tour, an excellent guide (Nica), and a top-notch driver. Chambord and Chenonceau castles are magnificent; each has its own character and style, but both are fascinating and live up to their reputation. Personally, I liked Cheverny Castle less. The architecture is beautiful, but inside, the rooms are overcrowded with objects, ornaments, and references to various events (there were Venice Carnival masks all over the place... I wonder how many pumpkins they'll put out for Halloween!). A great experience, thank you!

The guide was friendly (he spoke both Spanish and English for everyone) and we went inside the three castles mentioned. I guess because of the weather we didn't go on the bike tour—it was pouring rain—but the tasting portion still went ahead as planned.
