Escape the bustling labyrinth of Fez for a day of pure tranquility in Morocco’s world-famous Blue Pearl.
Getting started
Your journey begins with a stress-free pickup directly from your Fez Riad or hotel. As you leave the city behind, settle into a plush, air-conditioned minivan and watch the landscape shift from ancient urban sprawl to the rolling green foothills of the Rif Mountains. Along the way, your professional driver will pause at the Sidi Shahid dam, where the calm, sapphire waters provide a perfect first photo opportunity against the mountain backdrop.
What to expect
Upon arriving in Chefchaouen, you are greeted by an explosion of blue—every doorway, staircase, and alleyway is washed in shades of indigo and azure. Unlike rigid group tours, this private experience grants you 4 hours of total freedom. You can wander the narrow streets of the Medina at your own pace, shop for unique hand-woven rugs, or hike up to the Ras El Ma springs where locals gather by the waterfalls.
Worried about getting lost or being rushed? Your driver remains nearby as your point of contact, ensuring you have a reliable "home base" for the day. Whether you choose to enjoy a leisurely Tagine on a rooftop overlooking Plaza Uta el-Hammam or spend your time hunting for the perfect IG-worthy hidden door, the schedule is entirely yours to command.

Experience total convenience with door-to-door transfers that save you from navigating local bus stations.
-
What to bring
-
The road through the Rif Mountains is famously winding. Even if you don't usually get carsick, travelers frequently recommend having some on hand.
-
Comfortable walking shoes with grip. Chefchaouen is built on a hill with smooth, slippery blue stones. You will be walking uphill for most of the morning.
-
While the transport is paid, you'll need 5–10 DH for public restrooms and small tips for photos with locals or at the Kasbah.
-
Portable power bank: Between the mountain scenery and the blue streets, your phone battery will drain quickly.
What’s not allowed
-
Please limit luggage to one small daypack per person to ensure a comfortable ride.
-
Morocco has strict laws regarding drones; they will be confiscated at the border or by local authorities if flown without a permit.
-
For private tours, the driver will wait up to 20 minutes at your Riad. Beyond that, it may impact your time in the Blue City as the return leg must start on time to avoid night driving.
-
Pets are not allowed on this experience.
Accessibility
-
Chefchaouen is not wheelchair friendly due to hundreds of stairs and steep inclines. However, Jeff Transport uses modern minivans that are easy to board for seniors.
-
We recommend a baby carrier over a stroller. Navigating the narrow, stepped alleys of the Medina with wheels is extremely difficult.
-
Because this is a private tour, you can ask the driver to stop whenever you need a stretch or a break, perfect for elderly travelers.
Additional information
-
Tours run rain or shine. In winter (Nov–Mar), Chefchaouen is much colder than Fez or Tangier; bring a heavy jacket.
-
Your driver is your logistics expert but is not legally allowed to walk you through the Medina as a guide. They will drop you at the most central point.
-
Most "hidden" photo spots in the Medina are actually residents' doorsteps. Some homeowners charge a small fee (5 DH) to take a photo there.
-
Be prepared for a long journey, with about 4 hours of travel each way between Fez and Chefchaouen.
-
Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly. Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the starting point. Please check your final voucher for the starting point details & specific instructions.
