From Bled: Vintgar Gorge Entry Tickets with Free Shuttle Transfers

What to bring

• Footwear: Wear hiking or trekking shoes with good grip, especially in rainy conditions when the path can become slippery.

• Sun protection: Carry appropriate sun protection during summer, as parts of the route are exposed to the sun.

• Rainwear: Carry a raincoat and waterproof, non-slip shoes in case of rain. Umbrellas are not recommended on narrow sections of the path.

What's not allowed

• Drones: Drone use is prohibited in the Vintgar Gorge.

• Fishing: Fishing is not permitted in the gorge.

• Bicycles: Bicycles are not allowed on the walking trail.

• Swimming: Swimming is prohibited in the Vintgar Gorge and at the Šum Waterfall.

• Marked paths: Leaving the marked paths is not permitted.

• Wildlife and plants: Do not approach the river or pick plants.

• Trail structures: Climbing fences and bridges is prohibited.

• Waste disposal: Littering and disposing of waste are not allowed.

Accessibility

• Strollers and wheelchairs: The passage is not accessible for children's strollers or wheelchairs.

• Physical fitness: The moderate-difficulty route is best suited to visitors who can walk intensively for over two hours.

• Young children: A visit is not recommended for children under 3 years of age.

• Travel time: Allow at least 30 minutes to reach Vintgar Gorge from P3 Central Parking Vintgar P+R.

• Arrival time: Arrive at the gorge a few minutes before your scheduled entry slot.

• Route planning: Plan your visit in advance and depart early enough to reach the gorge on time.

• Trail length: The circular route covers 5.7 km, including 1.6 km through the gorge and 4.1 km along the King of Triglav Trail.

• One-way gorge trail: The trail through the gorge to the Šum Waterfall is one-way, followed by the marked return route.

• Weather conditions: Vintgar Gorge remains open during rain and closes only in emergencies.

• Trail difficulty: The route is of moderate difficulty and includes sections exposed to the sun.

• Return point: The circular route returns to the VINTGAR Visitor Centre or VINTGAR Shuttle Terminal.

• Off-trail walking: Do not venture off marked trails as this can be unsafe and is not recommended.
