Self guided tour was excellent. We had our tickets and were ready to go when we arrived. The listening devices were great very easy to follow. You could take your time. See the things you want. Skip the things you don't it made for a delightful tour. Having a window in which to arrive was also great because if our day got a little out of control, we had room nine till four to make it one of our other tours. We had to miss because we couldn't be there.

Book g woz esey with no que the headphone and journey though each and every room woz both interesting with so much to see and learn beutiful portraits in every room esp enjoyed the little gift shop inside managed to find small gifts for the grandchilden the abbey woz very beutiful and gardens with a reward of cake and coffie in the palace cake highly recommended

Holyroodhouse is amazing. My tour was a private tour of the Queens rooms at Holyroodhouse. I feel extremely privileged to have seen her private rooms.

Good evening; I am absolutely certain that this was the most exciting experience of our family vacation (myself, my wife, and our 7-year-old daughter). Unfortunately, we spent only five days in Edinburgh, but the Royals' summer residence is truly unforgettable. The rooms—intimate in size yet exquisitely furnished down to the last detail—create a genuinely welcoming, home-like atmosphere. It is easy to imagine oneself as a lucky guest at the parties held there, or to relive the tragic moments in the Princess's chambers with a genuine sense of distress—especially upon seeing the bloodstain left by Rizzio, still visible on the beautiful wooden floor of the meeting room. Creaking floors and oak-paneled walls that carry the scent of history—unforgettable! The grandeur of the gardens shown in the photos and the splendid Rolls-Royce—royal in the true sense of the word.

Best £50 I've ever spent. The tour was well paced with an enthusiastic guide. He had lots of information regarding the rooms and personal stories about the royal family. I was able to see Queen Elizabeth's dressing room and sitting room - she had a pink sofa! The corgi's bowls and puppy wee stains on the floor really added to the experience, as if she had just stepped out of the door. It was very emotional to see the late Queen and Prince Phillip's personal belongings in every room. We weren't able to take photographs which I fully understanded. This again added to the experience though as people were listening and taking it all in rather than focussing on photos. A wonderful experience that I would recommend to any royalist.

We had initial confusion about where to check in but one of the persons manning an entrance gave us the correct information for entering. We were efficiently taken to our tour by several staffers where we joined the group. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke clearly and with sufficient volume for all to hear him easily. He pointed out the highlights and background information of the contents of each room. We had sufficient time to look at the many items as the group moved to the next room. It was a great treat to be in the Queen's apartment and to see Prince Phillip's artwork and the life of the Queen when in residence at Holyroodhouse. This tour should not be missed.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Very nice tour in a small group for the private rooms of Queen Elizabeth ll. Everyone was able to ask questions and receive answers. Once in a life Time opportunity, would recommend not to miss this tour. The Grounds of Holybroodhouse are amazing! I was very impressed and now have fantastic memories of this incredible place.

I have been to Holyrood Palace many times in my life. This time I had a Japanese visitor with me. We both enjoyed the visit immensely and she really appreciated the audio guide. The way the tour is organised now makes it very easy to get a picture of the history and the current use by The Royal Family.

It was an epic visit!! To see the Queen's private rooms was a special treat for my daughter and I who were on a trip to my mom's homeland of Scotland. My mom saw the coronation of the queen. So it was extra special. They guides were outstanding ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
