San Diego Zoo & Safari Park 2-Visit Pass

Make two visits to explore the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, or both. Choose one visit to each park, or use both visits at your preferred park, with admission and select included experiences at each location.

Getting started

• San Diego Zoo: Head to the Zoo entrance and have your 2-Visit Pass ready for scanning. No reservation is required for the pass; once your ticket is validated, proceed through the entrance screening and start exploring the Zoo. If you plan to use the Guided Bus Tour, it boards near the entrance and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

• San Diego Zoo Safari Park: Make your way to the Safari Park and present your ticket at the entrance for validation. No reservation is required for the 2-Visit Pass. After entry and standard screening, check the day's schedule and head toward the Africa Tram, which also operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

What to expect

San Diego Zoo

Explore the San Diego Zoo's extensive wildlife habitats, where you can encounter animals from around the world while moving between exhibits, presentations, and included experiences. Your admission also gives you access to the Guided Bus Tour and Skyfari Aerial Tram, making it easier to see more of the Zoo in a single visit.

Features:

• Global wildlife: Meet animals from different regions and habitats, with exhibits offering opportunities to observe wildlife and learn about species and conservation.

• Guided Bus Tour: Take a narrated, approximately 35-minute round-trip tour through the Zoo grounds on a double-decker bus. It covers much of the Zoo while sharing stories about its animals and conservation work.

• Skyfari Aerial Tram: Cross the Zoo by air on the Skyfari, travelling over the treetops between two ends of the grounds while getting a different view of the Zoo and Balboa Park.

• Wildlife presentations: Use your admission to attend regularly scheduled wildlife presentations and learn from wildlife care specialists and animal ambassadors.

• Explore at your own pace: Walk between habitats, choose which presentations to attend, and use the included transportation to cover more ground during your visit.

• Family-friendly activities: Alongside animal habitats, the Zoo offers play areas and other activities that give younger visitors opportunities to explore between wildlife encounters.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park

Trade traditional zoo exhibits for a more open setting at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, where large habitats recreate environments associated with Africa, Asia, and other regions. Your admission includes the Africa Tram, while additional safari experiences can be added separately if you want a more in-depth wildlife encounter.

Features:

• Open wildlife habitats: Explore expansive landscapes designed around the animals and their natural behaviors, with opportunities to see species such as giraffes, rhinos, gorillas, kangaroos, and big cats.

• Africa Tram: Take an approximately 25-minute narrated expedition around savanna habitats, with views of multiple species from the tram route. It is included with admission and does not require a reservation.

• Cheetah viewing: Head to African Outpost to see the Park's cheetahs and learn about these fast-moving cats, whose habitat overlooks the African Plains.

• Wildlife presentations: Attend scheduled experiences such as Journey into the Wild, where wildlife care specialists introduce animal ambassadors and discuss the Zoo's conservation work. (

• Safari-style exploration: Spend the day moving between expansive habitats and wildlife viewing areas, giving you a different perspective from the more structured exhibits of a traditional zoo.
