Headquarters for the religious and military orders of the Temple of Christ, Tomar Castle, and the Convent of Christ were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. One of the most iconic features is the intricate Manueline window in the Chapter House. This style is characterized by maritime motifs and symbols of the Age of Discoveries. Step into the Knight's Hall, where the shields and coats of arms of the Knights Templar and other noble families are displayed. This hall reflects the medieval grandeur of the castle.
