Castelo de São Jorge is an absolutely beautiful and historic castle that offers some of the most breathtaking views of Lisbon. Walking along the ancient castle walls and exploring its rich history was an unforgettable experience. The views of the red rooftops, Alfama, and the Tagus River are simply spectacular. We loved all the peacocks that roam the castle as well! A perfect place to take photos, learn about Portugal’s history, and enjoy the beauty of Lisbon. Highly recommend visiting this incredible landmark — definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal!

Easy to buy tickets and find entrance! We absolutely loved visiting São Jorge Castle! The views over Lisbon were incredible and honestly worth the visit alone. We had so much fun walking around the castle walls, exploring the different areas, and taking in all of the history. It was one of those places that really made us feel like we were experiencing Lisbon rather than just sightseeing. Such a beautiful spot and definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

O Castelo dos Mouros é uma fortaleza militar construída pelos mouros na época de sua dominação de Portugal. Ele hoje é decorado com todas as bandeiras que Portugal já teve, o que achei um toque muito especial. É o ponto mais ao norte que tem na cidade, e a vista lá de cima é espetacular, não há vista melhor de Sintra do que a do castelo. No entanto, esteja preparado para subir muitas escadas, vá de tênis e roupa confortável.

Great experience at the castle, great views from the top and lots of walking to do to help get your steps in 😀 we got a taxi up from the town as it was quite a bit away if we had walked and VERY steep! Headout was easy to use to book tickets and they came through straight away. Would use again ☺️

    Everything went smoothly from entry to exploring the Moorish Castle. It wasn’t overly crowded during our visit, so there was plenty of space to walk around, explore at our own pace, and enjoy the views without feeling rushed. The whole experience was easy and well organized. Definitely worth visiting while in Sintra!

    San Jorge ofere peisaje frumoase și o panorama amplă asupra întregii Lisabona. Catedrala din Lisabona este o catedrală că oricare alta. Mie unul nu a reușit să mă impresioneze prea mult.

    The process was very smooth and easy to use at the gate. No issues at all! A lot more efficient too because you didnt have to wait in the tickets line at the entrance..
