If you are a huge fan of history and architectural beauty, that is where you should head out with Headout. The Basilica is magnificent. In fact, you can spend half of your day there either discovering the history in front of you, or simply finding some peace wandering about the complex. Visit to the Santa Croce was very enjoyable, appreciated the saving with the combo ticket. Bus tour was good and well organised, but only one route was working. Also, there were limited attractions to view on part of the trip and we thought a little more commentary on local features, origins of road and district names there would have added to the experience.

Exccellent express entry as promised. As shown in the first picture, the traditional queue-and-buy-the-ticket entry point was packed at every minute of the day. My queue, as shown in the 3rd and 4th pictures, was exceponally smooth without questions asked or challenged upon scanning the QR code on my digital ticket. What is most unfortgettable about my experience from visiting Gli Uffizi for the first time is that, the crowds are generally polite, soft spoken, well behaved, and most patient with one another to take turns and time admiring each and every masterpiece of the Italian renaissance artists. GRAZIE and BRAVO to Headout quality entry ticketing! See you next time.

I looked online for timed entry and you guys came up. However I realised I'd got my timing wrong and asked the ticket people if I could go earlier, which they kindly allowed

Walk through 90+ rooms of the Uffizi at your own pace, from Cimabue's earliest panel paintings through to Botticelli, Leonardo, and Caravaggio, the collection follows the full arc of the Renaissance in sequence.

Cross the 500 metres to Santa Croce and skip the ticket counter entirely. The full complex is yours: basilica, chapels, cloisters, crypt, and museum, with nothing extra to pay at any point inside.

In the Bardi and Peruzzi Chapels, Giotto painted the figures of St Francis and St John with a naturalism that had not existed in Western art before. These frescoes are the starting point of everything the Uffizi later brought to its peak.

The tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli are set into the nave walls. Each monument was designed in a different century — Galileo's was not erected until 95 years after his death.

Two sites most visitors split across separate days. This ticket is the reason to do both in one.

Ambos museos son magníficos , pero nos gustó más la Galería de los Uffizi. Estuvimos 5 horas recorriéndolo y sin detenernos mucho en cada sala. No doy las 5 estrellas porque las indicaciones para recoger las entradas a la Galería de la Academia son erróneas y creímos que no podíamos entrar. Hay que acceder a la Galería enseñando la "entrada" de la app móvil, pasar los controles de seguridad y una vez dentro dirigirte a la taquilla que está a la izquierda. Allí te imprimen la entrada que debes usar para el acceso.

Really helpful to have bought the entry tickets to Santa Croce Basilica. There was a long queue for people to buy tickets. Thank-you Headout for all your assistance. What an amazing building , really was quite spectacular. Lots of helpful information was provided. Wonderful to see spectacular art and sculpture all within the area of the Basilica.

Basilica Santa Croce

Visit Santa Basilica Croce to explore the cloisters (courtyards) and the Pazzi Chapel. Access the tombs of great minds such as Galileo Galilei and admire the stunning frescoes of Gaddi and Giotto: a visual treat in the purest sense.

What to bring

Valid photo ID for entry to both the Uffizi Gallery and Basilica di Santa Croce.

Your printed or digital voucher for each site. The confirmation email is not the entry ticket for either venue; check your final voucher for redemption instructions.

What's not allowed

Bare shoulders and knees are not permitted inside Basilica di Santa Croce. The church is an active place of worship, so a lightweight cover-up is sufficient.

Large bags and backpacks must be deposited at the cloakroom at the Uffizi Gallery before entering.

Accessibility

The Uffizi Gallery is wheelchair accessible via lifts throughout the building.

At Basilica di Santa Croce, wheelchair users and visitors with reduced mobility can enter via a ramp on the north side at Largo Bargellini. A raised platform at the cloister exit onto Piazza Santa Croce provides an additional access point. Admission for visitors with disabilities and one accompanying carer is free of charge and requires no advance booking.

Note that the chapels in the transept, the Novitiate Corridor, and the Sacristy at Santa Croce are on a raised level accessible only via steps and cannot be reached by wheelchair.

Additional information

A multilingual audio guide is available to rent inside Basilica di Santa Croce in five languages. This is not included in your ticket and is paid separately at the venue.

Security screening is mandatory at the Uffizi Gallery regardless of ticket type — factor in additional time at the entrance.
