Completely different to SeaWorld but massively worthwhile experience. The national aquarium provides a small bit very calming interaction with native species of fish. The entrance is through a lovely open area with sharks and rays that you interact with from a birds eye perspective that really allows you to see these creatures up close. There is a wonderful series of animal encounters of copabara and sea otters. Then ain tunnel through the shark tank is fantastic to view the jammer heads. It is not a huge space like SeaWorld and as such can easily be managed in a couple of hours. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Worth a visit of you have time

The aquarium is a masterpiece of showmanship, and education, it appeals to all age groups. There are quirky items, like a vw beetle and a telephone box fish tanks. A Huge tunnel where you are surrounded by by sharks of all types, and thousands of fish. The star of this is the two divers who actually hand feed the fish. It seemed so joyous for the fish. Compared to other places around the world, this is inexpensive. Do not miss this GEM.

Accompanied by a very well-trained guide, we were able to enter a sort of hospital for marine animals under the aegis of National Geographics. The Emirates are doing a great deal to preserve underwater flora and fauna, and to educate visitors about plastic pollution and global warming. We even saw a show of otters trained to throw away plastic bottles. Green washing or not, everyone is free to form their own opinion. But one thing is certain, the Emirates are unbeatable when it comes to doing things right. The aquariums are presented with great taste and originality. Who expects to find an old VW Käfer or a telephone booth transformed into an aquarium? They also know how to play with decor and colors to make the show particularly beautiful and attractive. This aquarium isn't the biggest, but it's well worth the trip.
