Simply incredible detail to see in the Cathedral . So well preserved and intricate. It was a privilege to see it up close. Unfortunately the audio guide was awkward to use and it wasn't clear which clips to activate when. Also in terms of direction we didn't find how to get to the upper levels.. but despite that we were blown away with what we did see

Siena Cathedral was by far my favourite cathedral in my recent trip to Italy (I went to Rome, Florence and Padova). Loved the architecture and the marble. Such a beautiful and inspirational place!

Siena overall was a great town to visit. The experience would be better with an included map of where to go and pictures of what I would see. It was confusing as to what we would see and where we Should be going. At no point was an audio guide offered by the ticket people and the links from the seller did not include any links to an audio guide. Over it was confusing. I've travelled the globe used Viator. Walkswithlocals, localguides and all were easier to follow.

We only received the ticket for the visit to the cathedral. In order to continue with all the visits included in the purchase of our pass, not speaking Italian to explain it to us, we were obliged to buy 2 other tickets at €16.00 (per person), i.e. an additional €32.00.

With the pre-booked ticket, we get past the queue and into the cathedral. The cathedral itself is of course a dream - there is a lot to see and you are overwhelmed by what has been created here by human trafficking. The crypt is rather small and the air was very warm and stuffy. In the Battiserio, the baptismal font was not visible due to renovation work. A visit to the museum is a must for many, because there is the opportunity to take beautiful pictures from an outdoor gallery - you just have to queue. We didn't want to do that. In a nutshell: If you come to Siena, visit the cathedral and get your tickets in advance!!!!
