I went in right at opening time, with minimal waiting. Buying your ticket in advance saves you the hassle of hunting down a ticket counter and waiting in extra lines. Siena Cathedral is a true treasure trove of extraordinary art. We had the chance to admire the marble mosaic floors (which aren't always uncovered). Highlights include Michelangelo's marble masterpieces and the Piccolomini Library, covered in frescoes by Pinturicchio. On top of that, the combo ticket lets you visit the crypt and the baptistery. If you like, you can also explore masterpieces of Sienese painting from the 14th century onward in the adjacent museum and enjoy a spectacular view from the so-called "Facciatone"—an absolute must for photographers and enthusiasts alike.

Seamless entry. Right from the entrance, the cathedral leaves you breathless with its beauty and the sheer number of artworks housed inside. Beyond the stunning floor panels—especially the Massacre of the Innocents—there is the Piccolomini Library, the Madonna del Voto, the Baptistery, and the Crypt. Everything was pure enchantment.

The ticket office, where we had to pick up the physical tickets, was easy to find. The guide was very informative, but had to be "loaded" multiple times. That is not the local provider's fault, though. Absolutely worth seeing. For 1 1/2 hours, the value for money is 5/5.

One of the most beautiful towns in Italy because of the duomo and towers. Really excited to see this town and beautiful art in the duomo. Really hated bus transportation to and from. Missed all buses and the drivers are all rude if you don't speak Italian.
