I had visitors from Lüneburg and planned something special... a steamboat trip fell through because the Elbe River was too low on water, so: off we went to our beautiful, magnificent Semperoper! The tour was very informative. We learned about the history of the building, its builder, the artists, composers, operas, and the restoration. The huge chandelier, which we were able to view from the box, was sensational... Next time we will attend a performance to see the versatile stage in action and to enjoy the varied program.

The guided tour truly came alive thanks to the extremely good lady who didn't bore us for a single minute. She was both knowledgeable and shared many little tips and anecdotes, but above all, she was highly motivated, with a lot of passion for art and the muse, and a great commitment to the Semper Opera, which seemed almost like a second living room to her.
