I visited the Oceanogràfic during a trip to Valencia, and I have to say it truly lives up to its reputation. The complex is huge and stunning just from an architectural standpoint, but its real strength lies in how well-organized the exhibits are, cleanly split into different climate zones. By far the most impressive part is the long glass tunnel in the Oceans section—walking underneath while sharks and stingrays swim right over your head feels incredible. The Arctic pavilion with the beluga whales is also spectacular, especially since they’re amazing animals and really hard to see anywhere else in Europe. You’ll need at least a good four to five hours to enjoy it properly, so it’s best to buy your tickets online in advance to skip the line and get there early in the morning to beat the crowds. If you want to catch the dolphin show, which is included in the ticket, make sure to find a seat at least half an hour early because the bleachers fill up fast. The only downside is the food inside: the dining spots are quite expensive and offer typical theme park quality, so bringing your own lunch is a great way to save a bit. All in all, the entry ticket isn’t cheap, but considering the scale and quality of the aquariums, it’s completely worth it and an experience I’d definitely do again.

We arrived at the oceanarium on bus 95 from the center of Valencia. We had already bought our tickets online, so we entered at the scheduled time. Mediterranean pavilion: various types of jellyfish and fish from the Mediterranean. In every sector, there is a well-sanitized restroom. We continued to the tropical fish, lots of little "Nemos" and other wonderful rays. Then we went outside to visit the air and land fauna: herons, pelicans, etc. We continued towards the shark tanks, which passed overhead in the tunnel. We went outside to see the crocodiles and finally the Arctic area, with penguins busy getting food. We spent a very pleasant afternoon.

Lovely visit with turn 3 year old, she loved seeing all the animals, This natural-setting zoo, with a strong focus on the African experience, is absolutely amazing and such an enjoyable day out. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves animals, it’s definitely worth the time spent there. The animal enclosures are exceptionally well designed, creating a really natural environment while still offering fantastic viewing opportunities. You get a great view of the animals at almost every stop, and the whole experience feels very thoughtfully put together.

It was a beautiful experience. Arriving was hassle-free, the staff was very friendly, and entering the shark tunnel was spectacular. The only issue was the schedule; when I made the purchase, it said from 2 PM to 8 PM, but I arrived at 3:30 PM and they told me it would only be open until 6 PM, which was apparently stated on the official Oceanogràfic website. At that moment, I was a bit disappointed, but since I had come all the way from Madrid, I had no choice but to go in anyway. However, I definitely have to go back because I didn't have enough time to see the shows.

I visited the Oceanogràfic during my trip to Valencia and I must say I really enjoyed it. It is huge, there are lots of animals, and above all, everything is beautiful to see. We stayed there for several hours and in the end, we didn't even notice the time passing 😂 The ticket is a bit expensive, but in my opinion, it is worth going at least once if you are in Valencia.
