Even if you are tired after a long flight or affected by the time difference, we recommend taking the hop-on hop-off bus, which allows you to enjoy your arrival day without wasting it. Depending on the location of your hotel, most visitors will probably be able to board the bus from a bus stop within walking distance of their hotel, and you can see and get an overview of Barcelona from the comfort of your bus (audio guides in various languages are provided). Of course, it is wonderful to stop along the way and explore, but if you are tired, you can successfully transfer between several bus lines and leisurely see the sights on the bus only, enjoying the pleasant outside breeze and focusing on taking pictures of the sights without worrying about pickpockets. Later in the evening, you can enjoy the sunset and even the night view by taking the line that passes through the most beautiful places of the city. After getting an overview of the city as a whole, you can enjoy a different view by walking around the city. If you are not confident about your physical strength, it is an excellent way to get around as well, as you can get on and off at each landmark. I was basically a city walker, so this was my first time using a bus, but the view from the second floor of the bus, which is different from walking, and the peace of mind of not having to worry about pickpockets on the first day of overseas sightseeing, which makes me somewhat nervous, made me glad I used the bus.

Family trip w/ 2 teens, got the Headout pass—def worth it versus buying tickets all separate like we usually do. Park Guell was STUNNING, even though it got soooo busy by noon. Did the bus tour last minute (rain hit), and we just hopped inside. Only thing, heads up: Some attractions won’t let you bring drinks in. Kids spotted a churro stand right outside Sagrada tho, so everyone survived.
