I bought the Berlin WelcomeCard mainly for the unlimited public transport, and it ended up making my entire trip much easier. I used it constantly to travel between Brandenburg Gate, the East Side Gallery, Alexanderplatz, and Charlottenburg Palace without worrying about buying tickets each time. The discounts were genuinely useful too, especially for museums and sightseeing activities, so I ended up saving more than I expected. Ticket reservations with a discount were only available on-site at the ticket office. As with the TV tower, the discount was not applied to online reservations. A 25% discount on €92 would have been quite significant.

Exploring Berlin made easier with public transport

With the Berlin WelcomeCard, you travel around the city with ease using Berlin’s public transport network in zones AB or ABC, based on your selection. Your pass covers unlimited journeys on buses, trams, S-Bahn, and U-Bahn within the chosen zones. This helps you move between neighborhoods, reach major landmarks, and even get to the airport or Potsdam if you select the ABC option, without buying separate tickets for each ride.

Seamless activation

You receive your Berlin WelcomeCard as a ticket that is valid during the period indicated on it. You can plan your days using the official flyer, which lists all included discounts and partners, and then decide which attractions, tours, and restaurants you want to use it at. Some experiences may require reservations, so you should check details in advance. Your pass validity starts from the time printed on the ticket and runs continuously. For example, if you choose a 72-hour option that is valid from Monday at 10am, it will remain valid until Thursday at 10am, as long as it falls within the overall period shown on the ticket.

Additional information

Children: Up to 3 children aged 6 to 14 can travel free on 1 adult ticket; children under 6 travel free without limits.

Ticket format: The Berlin WelcomeCard is valid for the period on the ticket and must be shown as an A4 printout.

Zones: Berlin Brandenburg (BER) Airport and Potsdam are in zone C; zones A and B cover Berlin city only.

Zone upgrade: For airport or Potsdam travel, buy the Berlin WelcomeCard Zone ABC, as AB cannot be extended with a C ticket.

Attraction entry: Each included attraction or landmark can be visited only once with this card.
