Begin your journey at any of the 18 tram stops, with ticket validation available on board or at the Booking Office at stop 1. Simply board the tram, present your ticket, and enjoy a brief introduction from your local driver as you set off.

What to bring

Bring your booking confirmation (printed or digital) for ticket validation.

Dress appropriately for the weather, as outside seats on the tram are not weatherproof.

Bring any essentials you may need for young children, such as folded prams (space is limited and only allowed on larger trams).

What’s not allowed

Meals and drinks are not permitted on board the trams.

Large luggage and oversized bags are not allowed, as space is limited.

Pets are not permitted, except for registered service animals.

Electric or motorised wheelchairs are not allowed on the trams; only manual wheelchairs can be accommodated on accessible trams.

Accessibility

Two trams are wheelchair accessible for manual wheelchairs only (maximum hoist weight 220kg).

Electric or motorised wheelchairs cannot be accommodated.

Wheelchair users are advised to phone ahead to confirm accessible tram times, as availability may vary and wait times may be longer on busy days.

Folded prams are allowed on larger trams only, subject to space availability; some trams have exterior pram hooks.

Additional information

Tickets are valid for unlimited hop-on hop-off travel for one day; the full circuit takes approximately 50 minutes.

Trams operate daily from 8:30am to 6pm, with the last tram departing stop 1 at 5:50pm.

There is no minimum age, but children must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times. One adult may supervise up to five children or infants aged 15 years and under.

Child age is 5–15 years; infants under 5 ride free. Family tickets cover 2 adults and up to 3 children.

Parking is available along the tram route, and the nearest bus stops are a short walk from several tram stops.

Optional upgrades, such as the Tramway Restaurant or combo packages with the Gondola or Punting, are not included in your ticket.

Please keep children safe in traffic when boarding or alighting at tram stops.
