Took my parents on the Christ the Redeemer van tour and wow, what a day. The van ride kinda zigzagged up the mountain (narrow roads!), but honestly that made it more fun. Our guide, Claudio, was super chill and pointed out some random trees I’ve never heard of. At the top… just, whoa. The clouds drifted in and out and we kept playing peekaboo with the statue. It was PACKED (sooo many people taking selfies), but still, completely worth it. If you’re not a fan of big crowds maybe go early. We grabbed some coconut water at the top, too. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

Went with my partner for a sunrise trip up to Christ the Redeemer and DANG was it worth the early alarm. The ride up was suuuper chill (van was comfier than expected tbh) and our guide, Lucas, kept us laughing the whole way. Got lucky with the clouds, so the statue looked like it was floating! Def bring water, it gets warm quick. Only bummer—crowds are a thing, so if ur looking for solo statue shots, lol, good luck. Still, would do it all over again.

Me and my sister did this on a Tuesday, hoping for less people but nope, still packed. But hey, it’s Christ the Redeemer, what did I expect? Staff was FRIENDLY. Bus was clean enough, and they explained stuff in both English and Spanish (helpful for us!). Views from the top are just EPIC. Only thing, you gotta wait a bit for the van back down so bring patience. Worth it for sure.

The tour was what I expected, except for the fact that I was charged 50% more than the ticket price when buying directly.

Went with my bf and our two friends—felt like a group adventure. The staff were suuuper friendly, and even helped my friend who gets carsick (shoutout to Rafael, you legend). The drive up is twisty but pretty, all green and wild. Christ the Redeemer itself… gave me goosebumps. It gets windy up there, so bring a jacket even if Rio is hot. Only negative: line for the elevator was loooong (almost 30 mins), but it’s just part of the experience I guess.

Honestly, the van ride was way more comfy than I expected. AC blasting, big windows for the Tijuca Forest views. Got up there mid-morning and it was already busy. Statue itself is EPIC in person, like, it’s massive. Only thing—felt a bit rushed up there (they kinda herd you along), but I still managed to get a few cool pics. Don’t skip the little souvenir shop on the way down. Worth it if you don’t wanna deal with hiking or taxis.

This is the most convenient option if you're staying in central Rio areas like Glória, Flamengo, or Lapa. Nearby bus lines include 104-TRO4, 497, 583, and 775D.

    • Return transfers follow the same boarding point and transport mode. If you depart from Largo do Machado by van, you'll return there by van as well.

    • Arrive at your boarding point at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Vans operate on a strict schedule and will not wait for late arrivals. Missed departures are non-refundable.

    • Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.
