The guide shared stories that brought it to life over the centuries. She also paid attention to preparing us for a better visit on our own after her tour/orientation.Carmen

Guys, an apology. I made an appointment for two for the Castel San Angelo / Passeto di Borgo Passage tour on Saturday the 28th. Once in Rome had lost the confirmation and/or meeting place thus didn't show up. Hope you didn't wait too long .Sorry to have missed. Maybe next time. Best, Jeff GoughElvio

Pretty good everything but I was denied entry to the passetto because the ticket did not include it. We had to walk to Castel San Angelo.Amy

Skip the line was great, however, it's quite far from the other entrance. It's important for anyone with skip the line to put the road name maps so you can head straight there Had a fantastic time. Was so great to see the history The tour guide was really good, translating difficult things to English Highly recommend
This ticket lets you explore strategic aspects of Rome’s history, saving you from ticket queues and providing a guide through the secret passageway.
Getting started
From the gate at the corner of Piazza della Città Leonina, you enter the Passetto di Borgo, a discreet entrance to the corridor.
What to expect
Passetto di Borgo
Walk through the 800 m long corridor and view its enclosed design and engineering which offer it the strength to withstand attacks. In case you've opted for a guided tour through the passage, you can hear stories of Pope Clement VII’s famous escape through the route during the Sack of Rome in 1527.
Towards the end of the route you emerge into the fortress walls of Castel Sant’Angelo.
Castel Sant'Angelo
Originally built as Emperor Hadrian’s mausoleum in 135 AD, Castel Sant’Angelo evolved into a fortress, papal hideout, and prison over centuries. Today, it stands as a museum capturing nearly 2,000 years of Roman history, architecture, and power. Walking through the papal rooms you can view the art by Renaissance artists such as Girolamo Siciolante da Sermoneta and Perin del Vaga. Descending down through the Court of Alexander VI, you can view the prisons where captives were tortured in the middle ages. Lastly, you can explore the Mausoleum of Hadrian which was originally home to funerary urns of Roman emperors.
