    • The site is partially wheelchair accessible, with a smooth pathway at the west corner of the building, at the intersection of Alemdar Street and Ayasofya Meydanı.

    • The ground-floor prayer hall has step-free flooring, making it accessible.

    • Access to the Upper Gallery is not suitable for wheelchair users due to narrow cobblestone paths and stairs.

    • The mosque offers partial wheelchair access, with ramps available at the southern and western entrances.

    • The historic design may pose challenges, so it’s recommended to bring a companion to help navigate the prayer hall.

    Hagia Sophia

    • All visitors must go through security checks, which can take up to 60 minutes, especially during peak months from June to August.

    • Only the Upper Gallery is accessible to tourists, as the ground-floor prayer halls are reserved for worshippers.

    • The mosque is closed to tourists from 12pm to 2pm during Friday prayers. To avoid long security lines between 2pm and 4pm, it’s best to visit after 4pm for a smoother experience.

    Blue Mosque

    • Be mindful of prayer times, as the mosque is closed to tourists during prayer hours, particularly around noon on Fridays.

    • Scarves or body covers are available for purchase at the entrance for €1 or €3.

    • There is no entry fee, but donations are appreciated to help maintain the mosque.
