Great experience! We headed to the office to grab tickets and didn't have to wait. They were very helpful and efficient. Then we walked down to the dock and immediately boarded a boat to the blue grotto. Came back and immediately boarded another boat for the trip around the island. We came in July and it was very busy but didn't have to wait in any lines. Would highly recommend.

We had visited Capri several years ago, but on that occasion we weren't able to arrange a tour of the Blue Grotto. This time we were able to, and it's an experience I highly recommend. Booking through Headout was quick and easy. The instructions for getting to the meeting point were clear and straightforward. The service from the staff and the boat captain, the trip itself, and finally boarding the small boats that take you into the grotto all went smoothly and on schedule (our average wait time was 1 hour, which goes by quickly). The cave is beautiful, and no photograph can capture what you see in that moment.

The route gives you a fast, well-rounded look at Capri’s shoreline, with skipper commentary that adds local stories and island context.

On board, you get live commentary in English and Italian plus a map of Capri, useful if you want to match each sight to the coast.

Along the way, you pass the Faraglioni, Green and White grottoes, Punta Carena Lighthouse, and the Baths of Tiberius.

Enter the Blue Grotto, the purported private swimming pool of Emperor Tiberius. Listen to the legends associated with this tiny cave from your boatman, who may also regale you with traditional shanties.

The tour consists of two parts: the visit to the Blue Grotto, which is done by boat—they took us there, waited for us while we explored, and then brought us back to the port of Capri—and the other part, which is done on a different boat and takes us around the island.

A pretty blue cave, but the entrance fee (by boat) is expensive—not to mention the way they operate (especially how they group people on the boats based on their continent of origin) to squeeze out extra tips. We couldn’t hear much over the microphone. There was a long wait because of the crowds. The staff wasn’t very friendly either. Fortunately, the crew on the big boat that took us around the island was nicer. And a bottle of water cost 1 euro. Limoncello was 2 euros a cup.
