Riding the Bernina Express was truly an unforgettable experience. The views along the journey were absolutely breathtaking — every moment felt like a postcard coming to life, with stunning mountains, glaciers, and charming alpine villages passing by. Everything was extremely well organized, from boarding to the overall flow of the journey, which allowed me to simply relax and fully take in the beauty around me. My husband and I did the Bernina red train journey from Tirano to St. Moritz first class day return at the end of April. It was a good time to do it as the train was not busy in the first class section so we could move from side to side for views and pictures and open the windows ad lib. The journey it definitely worth it for the views you get! Tirano is a lovely little town for walking around, and St. Moritz was nice to experience, but Tirano is a bit more 'down to earth'. We had booked set times but in fact were told we could get on any of the trains to/from St Moritz, but again that may be due to the time of year we chose.

The train was clean, timely and very comfortable in first class. It was a beautiful clear day and we saw the Alps from so many different angles. Great red.
