There was no wait time, booking tickets online was easy, and the tickets were on the smartphone. Everything was fine. Beautiful church, with an audio guide available for €6 if you want (except at the end of the visit you have to go back to the entrance to pick up your ID, which you have to leave if you want to rent the audio guide — and in time before closing!).

Everything about Santa Croce was interesting. The history, the mausoleums and the private chapels. So much so that my mother went again to see in more detail. The tour was about an hour and a half but that is not enough to appreciate everything that is inside the curch and the monastery. Highly recommended.

Had not heard of Headout prior to looking for activities for our Florence city break. Having found them it was easy to book and so glad we did as it was a fabulous morning and the interior was so much better than that of Florence's main cathedral

The hop-on hop-off bus tour is always a great experience and gives you a good overview of the city. The subsequent visit to Santa Croce with the audio guide was very good and interesting. Highly recommended.

Santa Croce is known as the Temple of Italian Glories ... many Italian greats are buried or memorialised here. Easy purchase, great communication, good value.

Being able to get tickets without much advance notice and, most importantly, not having any wait time at the entrance makes the experience much more enjoyable.
    • Skip the ticket queue and walk straight into the world's largest Franciscan basilica. The full complex is yours to explore at your own pace.

    • Stand before Giotto's 14th-century frescoes in the Bardi and Peruzzi Chapels, among the finest surviving examples of pre-Renaissance painting in Italy.

    • Pay your respects at the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli: three of history's greatest minds, all buried within the same nave.

    • Wander through Brunelleschi's Pazzi Chapel, the cloisters, the crypt, and the Opera Museum. One ticket covers it all, with nothing extra to pay inside.

    • While admiring these masterpieces, do not forget to witness Pio Fedi’s Freedom of Poetry, a marble statue symbolizing freedom of expression. It is believed that Freedom of Poetry inspired the Statue of Liberty of New York!

    • Fast-track entry to the Basilica of Santa Croce

    • Access to Pazzi, Bardi and Peruzzi chapels

    • Access to tombs

    • Access to Refectory Museum (Cimabue's Cruxifix)

    • Live guide

    • Audio guide

    • Hotel transfers

    • Meals

  • These tickets can't be cancelled or rescheduled.

Very impressive evolution of this memorial to the prominent scholars and artists, especially Michelangelo.

Visit to the Accademia Gallery in Florence... after spending 20 minutes in line, we found out that we didn't have valid tickets and had to collect them at the agency. Panic. We found the agency and got back in line... but our entry slot had already passed because of the people in line. In the end, they took pity on us and let us join the queue.
