Seeing Napoleon's tomb was an awesome site to behold, and didn't realize how highly esteemed he was by French people as most of what u learned growing up was that he was an Anti-Christ....got a new appreciation for what he did for France...he even supported the Church and saw churches he pushed to be built. He also had Arc De Triomphe built for returning victorious armies but wa never done before he died. This rounded out a nice trip!

Just 2 old women from America enjoying a trip to Paris. My mother really wanted to see Napoleon's tomb. I thought "meh what's the big deal." There was an event happening at the museum the day we went, and roads leading up to the museum were blocked off, and there were lots of people in matching shirts running around the greens outside the museum (to this American with some German heritage it looked like Oktoberfest) and we had to go in a back entrance, and there was a section with just endless swords and cannons, and my mom kept saying she wanted to see the tomb, and we finally found it at the other end of the museum, and I must say it was quite spectacular. You could easily spend a whole day here. Great exhibits.

Our catacombs tour was cancelled, and we decided to go to the museum and we were greatly happy whit our choice. The grandeur of the museum and the tomb were spectacular. We with definitely tell any of our friends who will plan on visiting Paris to stop by to see it.

The museum is splendid, and the explanations are clear. Tickets on the app, but unfortunately I couldn't get children's tickets (free), so I had to queue at the ticket office to get them. The museum is fine, but there's no point in buying tickets online if you're with children.

Among the 5 most visited museums in France, the Army Museum in Paris is also home to one of the largest collections of military artifacts and history on the planet. In his tomb, none other than Napoleon Bonaparte has lain since 1861. Receive first access to this collection of weapons, armor, and artwork aimed towards the military.

Napoleon I's tomb is housed within the 110-meter golden dome of the Dôme des Invalides, a structure that was constructed between 1677 and 1706 and reaches far into the Paris sky. The inscriptions and laurel crown commemorate the Empire's greatest triumphs, and his son and brothers also rest here.

You can find weapons and armor from the 13th to the 17th centuries in the Old Department, such as the equestrian armor of Francis I, to help you envision what it might have been like to be at war in those eras. Similarly, understand in detail the most important conflicts in history, peek into soldiers' lives, and discover how technology has evolved over time in the Modern Department.

The visit to Historial Charles de Gaulle will allow you to experience an interactive multimedia space dedicated to his military, political and social life and work. The next stop, at the Musee des Plans-Reliefs will allow you to have a look at an assortment of models of French fortified sites. Finally, the Museum of the Order of the Liberation will introduce you to the the order created by General de Gaulle to distinguish the heroes of the Liberation of France.

Accessibility

Visitors with motor disabilities can enter on the Place Vauban side.
People with mobility impairments can borrow a wheelchair (subject to availability) at the ticket desk on the Esplanade des Invalides and Place Vauban sides. Proof of identity is required to be left at the reception desk during your visit.
Toilets are available in the museum areas and are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
There is an underground car park accessible via Esplanade des Invalides.
