Getting started

Check in at Taylor’s Port Cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia and scan the QR code to access the 13-language audio tour on your phone. Bring headphones if you have them; audio devices are also available on site if needed.

What to expect

Taylor’s Port Cellars

Taylor’s is now in its fourth century, and its roughly 300-year-old cellars have been renovated into a modern museum-style route. Expect old lodge spaces, films, photographs, paintings, exhibits, and plenty of Douro history along the way.

Features

Your tour, your tempo: Pause the audio, replay a section, spend ten minutes on an old photograph. Nobody is waiting for the group to move on.

More than barrels: Films, archival images, paintings, and exhibits fill in the bigger story, from the Douro Valley to how Taylor’s works today.

Trailblazing tastings: Try the crisp Chip Dry, a rich Late Bottled Vintage, and a smooth 10-Year-Old Tawny, the tasting that most visitors come for. Kids? They’ll get a classy grape juice toast!

What to bring

Mobile experience: The tour is accessed by scanning a QR code on your mobile phone. Visitors are encouraged to bring headphones for a more immersive experience.

What's not allowed

Pets: Pets are not permitted inside the attraction.

General access: Due to uneven terrain and steep surfaces in some areas, this experience may be challenging for visitors with limited mobility or those who have difficulty walking.

Guide dogs: Registered guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome throughout the experience.
