We took the blue boat over which was great. We met up with our tour guide at the train station. He was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Lunch was nice and after the tour back at the village we did meet quite a few quockas the whole tour was great. We had a really good day. Would highly recommend this tour for sure.

The boat ride is a great way to see Perth from the water and the bus tour with commentary is the best way to see the most of the island in comfort. We saw a Dugite on the road from the bus, humpback whales and incredible views. I highly recommend the tour.

An awesome tour. We learnt about the history, we were in awe of the important role that Rottnest Island had and has. Beautiful beaches were we saw whales breaching and Seals sunbathing. Quokas 😍 so cute and not shy. Train ride and Bus was fun and informative. Plenty of laughs along the way. Highly recommend this tour.

The stunningly beautiful sunny day, calm seas and laid back atmosphere amde for a great experince. We hired bikes and explored ourselves, then caught the tour bus which was lead by an amazingly informed young woman scientist come tour guide. And very impressed by the beaches, bush plants and quokkas of course.

The whole experience, from checking in for the ferry ride to Rottnest island, then the bus tour and finishing with the ferry ride back into Perth. The staff were polite and knowledgeable. The whole day was relaxed and we both enjoyed it immensely.

The tour itself is amazing!! There's a catch tough. The tour is advertised as starting in Perth but that is not true. It actually leaves from Fremantle so be prepared to catch an Uber.

What's not allowed

Single pieces of luggage up to 22kg and no larger than 800mm x 500mm x 400mm can be stowed in the vessels’ luggage crates.

Single carry-on items must be no larger than 600mm x 400mm x 300mm.

1 piece of luggage is permitted per person. Additional luggage will incur an excess luggage charge.

Alcohol, weapons, drugs, drones, pets, smoking and furniture are not allowed onboard the ferry.

Rottnest Island is an A-Class reserve. So, it’s best to check directly with the island rangers for the most up-to-date advice on service dog access and allowances.
