The guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. Our tour leader kept us on track and was amazing (Manuela). We signed up for the Mt. Vesuvius hike and the views were breathtaking, plus we got to see Pompeii and the valley from above, which gave us perspective for our Pompeii tour. Plus it was a great mini-hike after taking the bus from Rome. The Pompeii tour hit the highlights and gave us so much context and information that we otherwise would not have had. We got to visit the women's bathhouse, with its mosaic floors and amazing intact details. Pizza lunch was yummy and the restaurant accomodated food alergies with no issues.

Pompei tour was excellent. The Mt Vesuvius part was cancelled at last minute. No refund was offered.

What to bring

This tour involves a fair amount of walking, comfortable shoes are recommended.

Temperatures on the Volcano may be a bit lower than temperatures on the ground, a sweater or light jacket is recommended, especially outside of the summer months.

Tip: As you trek alongside Mt. Vesuvius, look out on your right for fascinating views of the Bay of Naples, and on your left for the caldera or volcanic crater.
