By far the best tour and tour guide during our 2 weeks in Portugal! Stefano was an amazing tour guide, kind to share as much knowledge as posible yet funny and charismatic to share so many beautiful stories, details we would have missed otherwise and kindness through the tour. We loved that he honored our tickets despite some others not making it to the tour, and his patience to deal with our slow pace and sore feet after a fay of walking, which flew by due to his storytelling and ability to bring back the meaning of the place: the free masons, their origins and beliefs, their rituals and practices, connection with literature, symbolisms and connection to spirituality in different forms. We loved his suggestion at the end of the tour, a perfect way to end the day with a medieval twist. Would definitely recommend and look for other of his tours when we are back to Sintra!

Tuvimos un tour en Quinta da Regaleira ESPECTACULAR. En primero lugar, equivocación mía cuando seleccionamos el día del tour nos equivocamos, aún así la chica nos hizo el favor de cambiarnos la fecha al día correcto y ofreciéndonos incluso un tour privado al mismo precio. Simone, la chica que nos acompañó en el tour, nos mostró Quinta da Regaleira de un modo apasionante. Entendimos y comprendimos sus secretos más ocultos, sus misterios y fuimos participes de ellos. Muchas gracias Simone, por hacer de esta visita una experiencia única que recordaremos siempre.

Francisco was an exceptional tour guide. He took everyone's interests and needs into consideration and did a great job showing js the palace and the surrounding area. He even provided photos for us and lots of good recommendations for the Sintra area.

What to bring

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and carry a windbreaker.

Pack your sunhat, sunglasses, SPF, and water bottle to beat the heat, especially during summer.

What's not allowed

Keep in mind that drones, suitcases, trolleys, large backpacks, and luggage are not allowed in this experience.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Shutterbugs, take note: Tripods and flash photography are a no-go inside the venue.

Accessibility

This experience is not accessible for wheelchair users or prams/strollers.

Visitors with cardiac, respiratory, or neck/back issues, mobility impairments, children under 2 years, and pregnant women are restricted from participating in this experience, due to safety concerns.

Additional information

If you can, avoid driving into Sintra; the streets are narrow, parking is limited, and traffic can be challenging, especially in peak season.

Children aged 6-17 years and seniors older than 65 years can get discounted tickets at Quinta da Regaleira, but note that tickets sell out fast.

Should you drive, park in Sintra town center and enjoy the 30-minute scenic walk to Quinta da Regaleira. Public transport is your best bet to get to Quinta stress-free.
