I ha 2 excellent guides. The first one explained the history of the castle with many details in English and in German. After this he answered all our questions. The second guide accompanied me alone to the clock tower and explained everything about it!

Our guide was excellent—she was inspiring and shared fascinating details and anecdotes about the castle’s history and its rulers. Wish her all the best. There were queues in several places, but they moved fairly smoothly overall. The main challenge was the narrow corridors and two-way traffic. Buying tickets online was easy, but on-site we would have appreciated clearer instructions on how things work and that we needed separate paper tickets, etc. The staff were helpful and friendly, but clearer guidance would significantly reduce their workload.

Cruise was fine. Castle complex not so good. No access to the palace, only the cathedral, basilica and golden lane. Did not think it was worth the money. Cathedral was impressive from outside but everything was really dusty and dirty inside. Should have saved our money and gone for the dinner cruise rather than the day cruise and just visited the castle grounds.
