We first visited churchill island, which is a amazing farm with several delightful demonstrations for farm life. Then we went to koala conservation reserve, and we had a amazing time there. Koalas are so cute. The last stop is penguin parade, which is a unique nature experience and we enjoyed very much.

Entry was smooth, but didn't see many penguins. The Koalas sanctuary was good. Churchill farm was disappointing as we didn't know we had to go there in the morning. Didn't get to see much.

Overall it was good but the staff was too aggressive against kids asking them to sit down. I understand the reason but there is a way to do and say things to kids. Also after doing a full lap around the boardwalk, we wanted to sit back and relax 5 minutes on the steps again, but again the staff denied us for no apparent reason, saying it is "closed" ; didn't I paid tickets to sit down and watch the pingouins ? You need to chill and update the conditions on the website saying you will only allowed to watch the beginning of the parade as you will be asked to leave soon after.

The entry everywhere went very smoothly. We really enjoyed the Koala reservation and found the staff there very knowledgeable and helpful. As for the penguin parade it was a bit too super touristy. It was very crowded, and though we saw the penguins come ashore it was not as good experience as it could have been without the large crowd and disrespectful people, who would not be quiet when ask to. I had expected better viewing, ability.

The Penguin Parade was absolutely fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the spectacle. The restaurant in the Centre was well patronised and our meal was hot and delicious. Overall, it was a most rewarding experience and one we ticked off our bucket list. The Koala Sanctuary was also very interesting. We were able to read about the Centre and saw many koalas in the trees, also the ones in the restricted area due to Clamidyia. The Churchill Island experience was a real eye opener. The gentleman on the reception counter was very friendly and customer focused and invited us to return for lunch after our visit to the Chocolate Factory. The house was very well set out, showing the era it was built in and the restoration was very well done. All in all, the 3 Park pass was good value and interesting to do.

I went to the Penguin Parade 30 years ago with. Y daughter.; this time I brought my grandkids the experienceis not as expected, webonly saw less than 10 Penguin. Very disappointing!

What to bring

It's recommended to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking.

What's not allowed

Strictly no photography or video (with or without flash) is permitted after sunset during the Penguin Parade to protect the penguins.

All Phillip Island Nature Parks attractions are cashless—only contactless payments are accepted.

Smoking, pets, animals, and drones are not allowed on this experience.

Additional information

Visitors can bring assistance animals certified by a registered authority and must remain on designated paths and restrained by a harness or lead.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

For the Penguin Parade, penguins arrive at sunset each evening, with typical arrival times ranging from 8:30 to 9pm in summer (Dec–Feb), 7 to 8pm in autumn (Mar–May), 5:15 to 6pm in winter (Jun–Aug), and 6:30 to 8pm in spring (Sep–Nov).

All revenue supports conservation, research, and wildlife rescue at Phillip Island.

Please note: On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, both Churchill Island and the Koala Conservation Sanctuary will open 2 hours later than usual, at 12pm. If you’re planning a morning visit, be sure to adjust your itinerary.
