Lisboa's Oceánario

National Palace of Pena

You’ll be awestruck by this architectural genius in Sintra, inspired by a mix of styles like Neo-Gothic & Neo-Renaissance. The impressive 19th - century yellow and red structure crowns the Sintra hills forming Lisbon’s stunning cultural landscape. Be sure to fully admire the intricate details within the palace like the Triton’s Terrace adorned with blue and white. There is an incredible marine and coral-inspired archway with a mythological sculpture of Triton, the Greek god of the Sea. You’ll notice lovely shells, conches & coral designs. From the Courtyard of Arches, you’ll be able to see all the way to the ocean through the walled row of ochre arches on a clear day. The views from the palace are absolutely breathtaking.
