Indrukwekkend.

Our guide Jon was so knowledgeable about the area and provided great information in two languages, a tough assignment that he pulled off beautifully. We appreciated the precise instructions and the tips he provided. The tour was just right as far as navigating the need to see the history and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Features

Black Madonna: View the 12th-century statue of La Moreneta—Catalonia’s patron saint and the treasure that sparked the monastery’s construction on the site.

Basilica of Montserrat: The beating heart of the monastery, the basilica is home to the Black Madonna. You get to walk on its ancient marble floors and admire the frescoes and sculptures that adorn it.

Guided tour: Your English or Spanish-speaking guide will offer fascinating insights into the monastery’s history, its architecture, and its cultural and religious significance.
