Porto Legends, the Underground Experience is a stunning multimedia exhibition that will introduce you to the history and legends of Porto in a fresh and engaging way.

You will see and hear 10 mythological and legendary stories brought to life in stunning detail with 2D and 3D animations, music, colors, lighting, and narrator voices.

Stories of both real people, like the explorer Vasco da Gama, and fictional characters, like the well-known Zé do Porto, engage with visitors and tell them about the city of Porto and its rich history and tradition.

Fun Fact: The show is narrated by the voices of Pedro Abrunhosa, a great Portuguese author, and Jeremy Irons, an actor who won the Oscar Academy for “Best Actor”.

Located in Portugal's ancient port city of Porto, the Underground Experience is a multimedia spectacle unlike any other. Using state-of-the-art multimedia technology and spectacular effects, the experience takes guests on a trip through Porto's storied past and tales. In a subterranean cavern that was formerly a wine cellar, a 360-degree projection mapping technology creates a fantastical environment for the performance. Guests are led through Porto's history by both historical figures like the explorer Vasco da Gama and imaginary ones like the city's mascot, Zé do Porto.
This mysterious presentation, which blurs the lines between fact and fantasy, was made possible by the combination of Joel Cleto's research and the one-of-a-kind building of the Furnas da Alfândega do Porto. Jeremy Irons, winner of the Academy Award for "Best Actor," and Pedro Abrunhosa, a prominent Portuguese novelist, narrate the performance, which was directed artistically by Nuno Maya.
The legends include, The Treasure of Serra do Pilar, The Ghost of the Last Nun, Baron Forrester, Zé do Telhado, The Siege of Porto and its Dragon, The Earthquake of 1755,
Peter Hundred, and more.
