Came here with my two teens and honestly, we weren’t sure what to expect. The burning mountain is literally ON FIRE - it looks wild! The flames just keep going. Tour guide was chill, answered my son’s million questions (bless him). We got there mid-morning, not too busy but started filling up by noon. Fire Temple was quieter and kinda mysterious, loved the Shiva statue. Bring a hat if it’s sunny, it gets hot standing by those flames. Oh, and don’t wear sandals – got some weird ash on my toes. Worth the trip!

Weirdly magical spot. I went solo and tagged onto a small group tour (super easy, btw). Yanardag is such a bonkers sight, flames just licking outta the ground like it’s NBD. Guide told us all the legends—pretty cooool. Fire Temple was less dramatic but so peaceful, and the carvings are beautiful. Liked that you can wander at your own pace. Kinda windy when I went, so tie ur hair! Def worth the ride out of Baku.

My girlfriend and I booked this as our last day in Baku. We’re both into weird natural stuff and this did NOT disappoint. The burning mountain is just…bizarre (in the best way). Our guide, Rahim, was a total legend—funny stories, didn’t mind our endless photos. The Fire Temple has wild energy, especially at dusk. Only thing, there are NO snacks nearby so eat before you go. Got some coool pics, even if my hair smells like fire now. Would do again!

Ok, so the burning mountain is cool but honestly a bit smaller than I thought. Still, seeing real fire just coming out of dirt is kind of EPIC. The Fire Temple was more interesting for me—super old and you feel the history. Guide was nice but rushed us a bit. Wish we had more time to just chill and take it in.

Went with a group of friends—def something different! The fire at Yanardag was bigger than expected, and you can get pretty close (watch ur eyebrows lol). Temple was quiet, barely any tourists. Weather was HOT tho, bring water. Guide got us some local snacks on the way back. Not a full day, but a solid half-day trip out.
  • Visit Ateshgah Fire Temple and Yanardag in one guided half-day tour with hotel transfers and entry tickets included.

    Getting started

Begin your approximately 4‑hour tour with hotel pickup or meeting point collection, then travel by included transportation toward the Ateshgah Fire Temple. Meet your professional guide as the tour starts and settle into your group or private tour format, depending on the option you selected. Arrive 15 minutes before the start time so you can board the vehicle without rush.

    Ateshgah Fire Temple

    What to expect

This stop focuses on the historic Ateshgah Fire Temple, where natural flames and religious architecture come together at a single complex.

    Features

    • Spend time inside the Ateshgah Fire Temple complex as your professional guide leads a guided tour of Ateshgah, outlining how the fire sanctuary developed and what you are seeing in each section.

    • Use your entry ticket to Ateshgah to access the site without arranging anything on your own, since entrance or museum tickets are already included in your booking.

    • Move through the temple area with your group tour format or private tour format, giving you either shared exploration or a more personalized pace based on the variant you choose.

    Yanardağ

    What to expect

Your second major stop is Yanardağ, known for its hillside of continuously burning natural gas flames.

    Features

    • Walk up to the Yanardağ viewpoint to observe the exposed flames, while your guided tour of Yanardag helps you understand how the fire emerges from the ground and how locals relate to this landscape.

    • Rely on your entry ticket to Yanardağ, which is covered in the included entrance or museum tickets, so you simply follow your guide through the access point without separate payment.

    • Travel between Ateshgah and Yanardağ in the included transportation, remaining with the same group tour format or private tour format throughout this part of the itinerary.

    Wrapping up

Hotel pickup at the start is matched with hotel pickup and drop-off or meeting point drop-off at the end, so after leaving Yanardag you are driven back in the same transportation that served you throughout the tour.
