Dive into the diverse heritage of Vienna at the Jewish Museum. Learn about the first Jewish community in the Middle Ages and the 13th century synagogue, in the center of the city now known as Judenplatz.
Austria holds a special place in world history, home to Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the birthplace of Hitler, and the filming site of the beautifully bold Sound of Music. Do check out the library if you’re inquisitive about the power of the written word over the cultural and political narrative.
Latest additions to the Museum are the special sculptures part of the 'OT' project created by young artist Lukas Maria Kaufmann. A 5-meter-high metal creation holds an intertwined, shining Star of David that moves according to the viewer's perspective!
