Excellent guide Daniel lots of history, very helpful, driver very patient bulgaria beautuful countryside and travel through Romanian countryside. Painting inside monastery/fort are truly powerful and emotional to human heart. Ruse buildings important recent history and culture. People are friendly polite and food delicious.

Bring your passport and wear comfortable clothing. Admission tickets (15 EUR per person, 29 leva) are payable in cash. Delays may occur at the Giurgiu–Ruse border due to repairs. Children under 4 are not permitted on shared tours; private options are available.

What to bring

Bring your passport for border crossing into Bulgaria; entry will not be permitted without it.

Non-EU citizens should check visa requirements for multiple entries into Romania.

Wear comfortable clothing and suitable walking shoes, as a moderate amount of walking is involved.

Bring cash (EUR or Bulgarian leva) for admission tickets and personal expenses, as some sites may only accept cash.

What’s not allowed

Children under 4 years old cannot participate in the shared tour; private tour options are available.

Large luggage and oversized bags may not be accommodated on the tour vehicle.

Pets are not permitted, except for registered service animals.
