Getting started

Begin your day by meeting your guide at the designated meeting point at

Carrer de Martí i Franquès in central Barcelona. Hop aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned coach as you leave the city behind and journey into the Catalan countryside toward your first destination -Montserrat.

What to expect

Perched on a multi-peaked mountain range, the Montserrat Monastery is a stunning blend of spirituality and natural beauty. Your tour also takes you through the charming streets of Girona and the stunning coast of Costa Brava.

Montserrat: Admire the breathtaking landscape of Montserrat with its needle-like rocks, lush tropical vegetation, and volcanic mountains.

Montserrat Monastery: Visit the stunning 10th-century Montserrat Monastery, home to the iconic Black Madonna. Marvel at its intricate blend of Gothic and Renaissance architecture, and visit the museum, which houses over 1,300 artefacts and works of art.

Girona: Travel to the beautifully preserved medieval town of Girona. Walk through cobbled streets flanked by Roman walls and centuries-old buildings as your guide recounts stories of Jewish heritage, medieval intrigue, and even cinematic fame.

Costa Brava: Wrap up your day with a relaxing visit to Costa Brava, where the rugged coastline meets sparkling Mediterranean waters. Stroll along cliffside paths, dip your toes in secluded coves, or simply savor the scenic beauty.

What to bring

Carry a valid ID or passport to get your tickets validated.

Wear comfortable walking shoes to navigate the cobbled streets, hilly terrain, and coastal paths.

Bring a light jacket or sweater, as Montserrat’s mountainous weather can be cooler.

What’s not allowed

Large suitcases or bulky luggage are not permitted on the tour.

Flash photography and tripods are restricted in the Montserrat Monastery.

Eating and drinking are not allowed inside the Montserrat Monastery.

The monastery has a strict dress code: men and women must dress appropriately at this religious site.

Men and women must wear shoes that cover their knees and shoulders.

Entering the monastery in flip-flops is prohibited.

Entering the Basilica during acts of worship is prohibited unless you’re taking part in them.

Accessibility

This tour is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Make sure to arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before departure.

The itinerary may change due to weather conditions or site restrictions.

The Arab Baths in Girona are closed on Sundays and will be replaced by another activity.

There is a minimum number of people required to operate the tour. If this isn't met, you may be provided an alternative date, another tour of equal or superior value, or a full refund.

The visit to the Moreneta is subject to availability and depends on the season, as there may be up to 2 hours of queue.
